Street Dance Battle 2026: The Road to the National Finals

After four exciting regional qualification rounds across Mauritius, the stage is now set for the highly anticipated Street Dance Battle 2026 National Final, taking place on Saturday 6 June at Caudan Waterfront.

Over the past weeks, dancers from all corners of the island have showcased their talent, creativity, and passion in a series of regional qualifiers. Each event brought together dancers from various styles and backgrounds, all competing for a coveted place in the national finals.

Four Regions, One Goal

The Street Dance Battle 2026 qualification tour visited four regions of Mauritius, providing dancers from across the island with the opportunity to earn their place among the nation’s best.

The qualifiers featured intense performances, impressive displays of skill, and unforgettable moments as participants battled for qualification. Judges evaluated dancers based on technique, musicality, originality, stage presence, and overall performance quality.

Only the strongest competitors advanced.

Top 8 Selected in Each Category

Following the completion of all four regional rounds, the Top 8 participants have been selected in each of the competition’s three official categories:

Solo Performance

The Solo Performance category highlights individual dancers who have demonstrated exceptional technique, creativity, and stage presence throughout the qualification process.

Group Performance

The Group Performance category features the island’s most dynamic dance crews and teams, bringing together choreography, synchronization, and artistic expression.

1 vs 1 Battle

The 1 vs 1 Battle category showcases freestyle dancers who have proven their ability to adapt, respond to music, and outperform their opponents in direct competition.

These finalists now represent the best performers from the regional qualifiers and will compete for the prestigious title of National Champion.

The Grand Final at Caudan Waterfront

The National Final promises an electrifying atmosphere as the Top 8 competitors in each category face off in front of a live audience at one of Mauritius’ most iconic venues, Caudan Waterfront.

Spectators can expect high-level dance performances, thrilling battle rounds, and outstanding displays of talent from dancers representing different regions and dance styles.
