WAKE UP SESSION, created in 2010 is a Mauritian street dance battle competition with over 100 competitions organized until now.
The competition proposes dance battles in Breaking, Afro Dance and Hip-Hop in mostly 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 contests. Since its creation Wake Up Session has hosted several qualifications for overseas competitions and have sent many street dancers abroad to represent Mauritius since 2011.
TEASER OF A WAKE UP SESSION IN 2023
The first session of Wake Up event occurred on the 27th of November 2010 after Kenjee came back from his second participation on the Urban Konection Festival held at Reunion Island.
Having previously organized Kolt’art Live in 2007 and 2008 in Youth Centres and Private Clubs to promote rap, Kenjee knew that to make the street dance culture popular, he had to produce these events in front of the public to get their attention on this culture.

WAKE UP SESSION, créé en 2010 est une compétition mauricienne de street dance battle avec plus de 100 compétitions organisées à ce jour.
La compétition propose des battles de danse en Breaking, Afro Dance et Hip-Hop dans des contests majoritairement 1 contre 1 et 2 contre 2.
