Port-Louis Waterfront 2026

Wake Up Session – Port-Louis Waterfront | 18 April 2026

This edition, supported by our long-time partner Malta Guinness and hosted by Port-Louis Waterfront, delivered 4 hours of non-stop battles and pure energy in the heart of the capital.

The crowd witnessed multiple competitions throughout the day, including the Indian Ocean Championship qualification in Breaking. Big moment: Nura (USA) secured his spot, raising the level and bringing international heat to the floor.

On the battle side:

  • 2 vs 2 Choose Your Style was taken by Team Moris (Bboy David & Zillien), representing strong local talent
  • 1 vs 1 Hip-Hop was won by Takunda (Zimbabwe), bringing power, groove, and precision

What stood out? The movement keeps growing. Wake Up Session is attracting more and more international dancers, with a strong presence from Madagascar and beyond — proving the Indian Ocean scene is leveling up.

From local cyphers to international clashes, Wake Up Session continues to build a real platform for youth, culture, and competition.

Next stop: even bigger. Stay ready.
