The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation has launched its second edition of Street Dance Battle on 7th of December 2019 at Rose Belle Youth Center. Event organized by Wake Up Entertainment for the Ministry.

Three dance battle categories have been proposed in a 1 vs 1 contest :

1. 1 vs 1 Hip-Hop
2. 1 vs 1 Afro Dance
3. 1 vs 1 Breaking

Over 300 youths participated in this big national contest where 6 regional qualifications were held with a big final on the 28th December at Mahebourg Waterfront.

Final was live on MBC 3 and MBC Sat.

Regional qualifications:

1 ) 7th December : Rose Belle Youth Centre

 

2) 8th December : Riviere du Rempart Youth Centre

 

3) 14th December : Flacq Coeur de Ville

 

4) 15th December : Lakepoint Curepipe

 

 

5) 21st December : Bambous Youth Centre

 

6) 22nd December: Port Louis Waterfront

 

 

28th December : National Final at Mahebourg Waterfront
