The road to the Indian Ocean Championship 2026 continues!

Wake Up Session is heading to Rodrigues for the official Rodrigues Island Qualification, produced in collaboration with the Commission for Arts and Culture Rodrigues and the Ambassade de France à Maurice.

More Than a Qualification

This visit is not only about competition.

Wake Up Session will also conduct urban dance workshops for local dancers, sharing tools, technique, and experience in Breaking, Hip-Hop, and Afro styles. The objective is clear: raise the level, empower the youth, and strengthen Rodrigues’ presence within the Indian Ocean urban dance movement.

Who Will Represent Rodrigues?

The big question remains:

Who will represent Rodrigues at the Indian Ocean Championship Final in Mauritius?

The selected dancers will earn their place to compete at the final of Festival Bouzé, where over 15 countries will gather for high-level 1 vs 1 battles and cultural exchange in August 2026.

📅 The official representatives will be announced on 21 February 2026.

Rodrigues has always brought strong energy, talent, and authenticity to the championship. We look forward to discovering the new ambassadors who will carry the island’s flag to Mauritius.
