Comoros qualification 2026

On 17 January 2026, the Comoros Qualification for the Indian Ocean Championship 2026 took place during the vibrant Baz’Art Festival, organized by Haitham Ben Ali with the support of the Ambassade de France aux Comores, on Grand Comore.

This qualification marked an important step in selecting the official representatives of Comoros for the upcoming Festival Bouzé final in Mauritius (August 2026).

A National Approach: Including Anjouan

Earlier this year, a preliminary qualification was organized in Anjouan, allowing dancers from another island of the Union of the Comoros to compete and earn their place in the national final.

This initiative ensured broader representation and gave equal opportunity to talents across the islands to showcase their skills on the Grand Comore stage.

Official Winners – Comoros 2026

After an intense and inspiring competition, two champions earned their ticket to Mauritius:

  • 🏆 TamkineChoose Your Style Category
  • 🏆 Bboy 12Breaking Category

Both winners will officially represent Comoros at the Indian Ocean Championship Final in August 2026, competing against top dancers from over 15 countries across the Indian Ocean and Africa.

Toward Mauritius – August 2026

Their journey continues in Mauritius, where they will join delegates from across the region for:

  • 1 vs 1 Championship Battles
  • Masterclasses with international coaches
  • Conferences & group talks
  • Cultural exchange activities

The Comoros qualification once again demonstrated the island’s growing level in urban dance and its commitment to being part of a structured regional movement.

We warmly congratulate Tamkine and Bboy 12 and look forward to welcoming them to Mauritius for an unforgettable 2026 edition. 🌍🔥
