Wake Up Session was recently invited to Accra, Ghana, by Bboy Lyricx and the Africa Breaking Academy to take part in the Africa Championship. Kenjee was honoured to be invited as a speaker, sharing his experience and insights with dancers and cultural leaders from across the continent.
Alongside him, Bboy David proudly represented Mauritius on the dancefloor and reached the Top 16 of the competition—an important achievement for our island and for the growth of the Mauritian breaking community.
We express our sincere thanks to ICC, IOC and AFD for the “Alé Vini” mobility grant, which made Kenjee’s participation in this international championship possible. Their support helps us continue building bridges between countries and creating new opportunities for Mauritian dancers.
Wake Up Session remains committed to representing Mauritius and strengthening cultural connections across Africa and beyond.
