The third edition of Festival Bouzé – Indian Ocean Championship concluded on Saturday 13th September at the Institut Français de Maurice with an electrifying final that crowned Mauritius, Madagascar, and the region’s top dancers.




After three days of masterclasses, conferences, showcases, and cultural exchanges, the flagship 1 vs 1 Indian Ocean Championship Final brought together dancers from Mauritius, Rodrigues, Seychelles, Madagascar, Reunion Island, Comoros, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Djibouti and Sri Lanka.

This year’s edition highlighted the growing importance of Mauritius as a hub for urban dance culture in the Indian Ocean. Festival Bouzé continues to serve as a platform for young talents to showcase their skills, connect with peers from across the region, and gain international visibility.
