The excitement in Madagascar was palpable as the nation’s top dancers battled it out over two unforgettable days for a place at the 2025 Indian Ocean Championship during Festival Bouzé! The energy, the spirit, and the talent on display left everyone in awe, proving that urban dance culture is thriving in Madagascar like never before.

The selection event, organized in partnership with the Fédération Hip Hop et Culture Urbaine de Madagascar, brought together the country’s best. It was more than a competition—it was a celebration of youth, creativity, and community. The crowd’s warmth and the dancers’ determination made it clear: Wake Up Session has truly found a second home here.

We are continually amazed by the level of respect, support, and passion that the Malagasy community brings to urban dance. Over the past two years, Wake Up Session has become one of Madagascar’s most recognized street dance events, thanks to the dedication of local partners and the dancers themselves.

Now, the champions are set for the grand finals! On September 13th, 2025, the Malagasy delegation will take the stage in Mauritius at the Indian Ocean Championship, facing off against dancers from 15+ countries across Africa and the Indian Ocean.

Madagascar en route pour la grande finale du Indian Ocean Championship !

L’excitation était à son comble à Madagascar lors des qualifications nationales pour le Indian Ocean Championship 2025 du Festival Bouzé ! Pendant deux jours, les meilleurs danseurs du pays se sont affrontés dans une ambiance survoltée, prouvant que la culture urbaine malgache est plus vivante que jamais.

Cet événement, organisé en partenariat avec la Fédération Hip Hop et Culture Urbaine de Madagascar, a rassemblé les talents les plus prometteurs du pays. Bien plus qu’une simple compétition, c’était une véritable fête pour la jeunesse, la créativité et l’esprit collectif. L’accueil chaleureux et l’engagement des danseurs ont prouvé que Wake Up Session a trouvé ici un véritable second foyer.

Nous sommes impressionnés par le respect, l’énergie et le soutien que la communauté malgache apporte à la danse urbaine. Grâce à l’implication de nos partenaires locaux, Wake Up Session est devenu l’événement street dance de référence à Madagascar ces deux dernières années.

Prochaine étape : la grande finale ! Le 13 septembre 2025, la délégation malgache montera sur scène à l’Institut Français de Maurice pour représenter le pays face à plus de 15 nations de l’Océan Indien et d’Afrique.
