Its been 6 years now that the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Recreation has been holding the street dance battle which, by it name implies, is a street dance competition. Prior to the national competition reuniting 10 different regions of the island, dance initiation workshops were provided to youth in these regions for two months.

Over 180 kids in these 10 regions participated in the dance workshops and even went up to the finals!

A total cash price of Rs 200 000 were gifted to 16 outstanding performers that participated in the four categories of street dance battle.
