Welcome to the Wake Up Session, Indian Ocean Edition – an exhilarating celebration of urban dance culture. Since our inception in November 2010, our mission to empower youth through the art of dance has flourished, and we’re now renowned across the entire Indian Ocean region. We’re thrilled to announce that, from the 18th to the 21st of July 2024, we’ll be uniting talents from the CJSOI participating countries at the prestigious Institut Français de Maurice, right here in Mauritius, a tropical haven that’s perfect for dance and culture.
To be a part of this groundbreaking event, please note the following:
When: 21st of July 2024, during the second edition of Festival Bouzé taking place from 18th to 21st July.
Where: The event will take place at the esteemed Institut Français de Maurice, providing the perfect backdrop for this unique cultural celebration.
Conditions of Participation: To participate, there will be national qualifications in all participating countries. Contestants should be a minimum of 16 years old and hold a valid passport. These conditions ensure a fair and competitive representation of the Indian Ocean’s finest talent.
Categories: Three categories are proposed: Afro Dance (Girls only) , Hip-Hop (Open for Boys and Girls) and Breaking (Boys only)
Participating countries: Seychelles, Madagascar, Comoros, Mayotte, Reunion Island, Mauritius and Djibouti

Depuis notre création en novembre 2010, notre mission visant à autonomiser la jeunesse à travers l’art de la danse a prospéré, et nous sommes maintenant reconnus dans toute la région de l’océan Indien. Nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer que du 18 au 21 juillet 2024, nous rassemblerons des talents issues des pays participants à la CJSOI au prestigieux Institut Français de Maurice, ici même à l’île Maurice, un havre tropical parfait pour la danse et la culture.
